Mount Hotel Wolverhampton Wedding Photographer
Believe it or not, but at 2.5 miles away, Mount Hotel Wolverhampton Wedding Photography isn’t the shortest drive I’ve ever had to a wedding!
That honour goes to Bantock House , in Bantock Park in Finchfield, Wolverhampton. Which is 1 mile away!
They were both built as rather grand family homes, before being sold off when fortunes started to run dry. Bantock House becoming a museum and The Mount in Tettenhall, becoming a luxury hotel.
The Mount was built by The Mander Family as a sister house to Bantock House, which is now owned by the National Trust. On the top of a hill, The Mount has views over to Shropshire and was used by the family for entertaining.
Over 100 years later the ownership has changed. But entertaining is still at the heart of The Mount, as both a hotel and wedding venue.
Having done a family photoshoot for the Bride a few years ago it was wonderful to capture up and see how the children have grown.
Reasons to choose The Mount for your wedding venue:-
- Grade II listed Victorian Manor House
- The Great Hall, with minstrel gallery, decorated in the English renaissance style
- Terrace garden overlooking the Shropshire hills
A Wolverhampton Wedding at The Mount Hotel
Clare, the bride was getting ready at home, a short drive from The Mount. So this gave me the opportunity to visit both her and Dan during morning prep, with the groom getting ready at the venue. I always try to some of the build up to the wedding from both points of view, to show more of the story.
Wedding Ceremony at The Mount Hotel
Then back to the venue for guests arriving and after that the main event of the day!
After the wedding ceremony in the Orangery it was outside into the glorious early summer sunshine for confetti, drinks and canapes.
The Mount Hotel Wolverhampton has a lovely terrace for wedding photography. It looks out over the lawn, with a small wooded area further down the hill.
The Speeches
As the guests were relaxing outside the staff at The Mount were busy turning the room around for their wedding breakfast and of course, speeches.
“Nick did a wonderful job of photographing our wedding.
He captured the day perfectly and we are delighted with the beautiful photographs.
I don’t usually like having my photo taken but Nick blended in well and captured some great shots without me even realising.
We are so glad we chose Nick for our photographer. We now have pictures to treasure forever and remind us of our perfect day”
