On what was the hottest Early May Bank Holiday since records began (probably), I got sunstroke (possibly) and Lizzy and Matt got married (most definitely!!!)
Tucked away in the Warwickshire countryside, not too far from the Bride’s hometown of Leamington Spa, is Wethele Manor, which is a simply fabulous wedding venue and great for wedding photography!
Reasons to choose Wethele Manor for your wedding venue:-
Set in a 250 acre estate in glorious Warwickshire countryside
Walled courtyard for an outdoor ceremony or drinks reception
11 bedrooms, 4 glamping pods and 2 chalets for accommodation
A Wedding Venue in the Warwickshire Countryside
With the nearby village of Weston under Wetherley mentioned in the Doomsday Book and parts of the Manor dating back to 16th Century it’s fair to say that it has history and charm in abundance….and they used to make cider too 🙂
When the Bride & Groom are both getting ready at the venue then you get this fantastic opportunity to capture the build up to the ceremony from both points of view, floating around between the two, getting double the atmosphere. Lizzie and her Bride squad were in a chalet in a secluded private area by a pool. Matt was with the boys inside the manor house.
This was a wedding with a really relaxed, chilled vibe and the sunshine was just perfect for it

Then you of course get the wonderful moment that the whole day is built around, when the Bride & Groom come together for the ‘I dos’ and the ‘I wills’ and often a few tears too.
One thing to mention…..that gorgeous and elegant dress….designed and made by one of Lizzy’s Bridesmaids!!!
Wedding Photography at Wethele Manor is ace!
They had an indoor legal ceremony followed by an outdoor blessing, conducted by a family friend. Wethele Manor offers many options both for weddings and photograpy!
Wethele Manor Wedding Reception
After that? Well, when the sun is shining it’s time to drink, eat and make merry of course!!
When it came to the speeches Matt definitely earned himself some husband points by using his connections to get video messages of congratulations from various bands — v cool
To be fair, he did then have to endure a roasting from his two Best Men in their speech, but that’s par for the course isn’t it!
One of the sweetest moments during the day was when the Grooms two Grandmas embraced and then later on in the evening all three of his grandparents hit the dancefloor!
Lots and lots of things for a Wethele Manor Wedding Photographer to get stuck into!
Evening entertainment started with a ceilidh. These are a BRILLIANT way to get lots of your guests up and taking part, even the most reluctant of dancers!
