The Ashes Barns Wedding Photographer

Head North-East out of New­cas­tle-under-Lyme, go through Han­ley, and take the road to Leek, towards the ver­dant Stafford­shire Moorlands.

Go through the sleepy vil­lage of Endon and you’re in the foothills of the Peak Dis­trict Nation­al Park.

There, nes­tled on the hill­side you’ll find the The Ash­es Barns, an exclu­sive use (no cork­age!) wed­ding venue.

Now, to have one great wed­ding venue could be seen as good fortune. 

When you have two great venues you might start to think, hmm, maybe these guys know a thing or two about weddings.

How­ev­er, if you own and run FOUR amaz­ing wed­ding venues then it can only be because you’re damned good at it!

The Ash­es Barns is owned and run by the love­ly peo­ple at Best Day Ever Venues, who also own Fox­tail Barns, The Mill Barns and Pen­drell Hall. I’m delight­ed to say that I’ve pho­tog­ra­ph­er wed­dings at the last two on the list. So I know how expert they are!

As you dri­ve along the road out of Endon you’d be for­giv­en for not know­ing that The Ash­es Barns is a wed­ding venue. It looks like a pri­vate farm estate, with a coun­try house and some barns. In fact the own­ers used to live in the house.

So arriv­ing to pho­to­graph Joanne & Claire’s wed­ding at The Ash­es Barns, I was full of antic­i­pa­tion and let me tell, you it did­n’t disappoint!!

Quite a lot of the wed­ding par­ty had stayed in Endon the night before the wed­ding, in a cou­ple of cot­tages. So prepa­ra­tion start­ed there, mov­ing to The Ash­es as the morn­ing went on.

Rea­sons to choose The Ash­es Barns for your wed­ding venue:-

• Set in a pri­vate 50 acre estate in the Stafford­shire Moorlands
• No cork­age if you want to pro­vide your own drinks for the daytime
• Lots of LGBTQ+-friendly sup­pli­ers on their sup­pli­ers list

The cer­e­mo­ny was in The West Barn, the old­est build­ing at The Ash­es. It’s a 17th cen­tu­ry, Grade II list­ed stone barn, with a min­strel gallery at either end. 

The two Brides walked sep­a­rate­ly down the aisle, accom­pa­nied by their families.
